Barista
The Skycafé at Skysong is now hiring baristas
Here is a little information about us…
The Skycafé is an Arizona State University student-operated entrepreneurial venture supported by the Kauffman Foundation which donates a portion of its proceeds to support children in Africa. It is located at the heart of the Skysong Center which is a mixed-use project consisting of 1.2 million square feet of office, research, retail and hotel/conference center space at full build-out. In addition to the commercial space, SkySong will include multi-family residential space.
SkySong is a center like no other in the world. A place where business and innovation are one and the same. Where business has access to the resources of Arizona State University. SkySong is a global portal connecting the world through technology. It is a place where the architecture, lifestyle and amenities in and around the center stimulate and encourage creativity and new ideas. Where ideas and university research become new technologies and commercial enterprises. A place where imagination shapes reality.
At the Skycafé we incorporate the theme of Skysong into our space. As students we use innovation and imagination everyday to make the café a better place. A place where all of Skysong can take a break from the work life and grab a snack or latte, or simply talk with their colleagues. Our goal is to make the café a successful student run business which is welcoming to everyone and meets the needs of all of Skysong.
Though the café space is smaller than most, its capabilities are extraordinary. The Skycafé is a full service espresso & coffee bar and has a lot of room for creativity. It is also a full service snack bar offering candy bars, chips, and other goodies. Along with offering sandwiches for lunch from an outside kitchen. Outside of the café we also do caterings for in-house meetings and events. Our caterings range from an average continental breakfast to a Egyptian breakfast and a simple sandwich & chips lunch to a Asian bistro feast.
Currently we are looking for an Arizona State University student who has a barista background with a flexible schedule. We are very focused on keeping the café “student run” and are willing to work with you and your class schedule. The café is open Mon-Fri 8AM-3PM therefore we are looking for students with the most availability during this time.
If you are interested please email a detailed resume to Skycafé@asu.edu Along with your resume include the following information and your contact information.
